My overall theme for fic in 2017: finish what I've started. I have a huge pile of WIPs dating from 2013, and I want to wrap up as many of them as I can, whether it's fully finishing and posting them or whether it's just polishing them and making WIP amnesty posts.

I bought a planner and went through with a tentative writing schedule. Bear in mind, I'm also planning to write a book this year, so I made allowances for that, too.

I'm starting the year with 44 WIPs, and I want to end it with 20.

For the past couple of months I've been pretty unfocused when it comes to writing: I've written quite a few bits of scenes or fic excerpts, and have compiled a lot to work with for some stories, but I can't quite manage the sitting down and finishing things part. I decided to make a progress post in the hopes of being able to really look at what I have for things and hopefully motivate myself to start finishing and posting projects again. (And also because I'm hoping that if y'all find a fic or two to look forward to, that will motivate me, too! Like many other writers, I do best when I can talk over things I'm working on with people.)
